ITV Coronation Street spoilers reveal 'body found' as missing Lauren Bolton case escalates

Coronation Street spoilers have confirmed a dark storyline next week as the missing Lauren Bolton case escalates.

Only recently, Roy Cropper found himself charged with the murder of missing teenager Lauren despite being innocent and things are only going to get worse for him. In upcoming scenes, Sam Blakeman promises Nina Lucas that he will walk Freddie the dog before school.

As Sam heads out, unbeknown to him, a sleuth watches from a table in the corner and later a distraught Sam returns without Freddie, explaining he ran off. As Evelyn Plummer watches over the cafe, Nina and Toyah Battersby head out to look for Freddie.

Toyah helps search for missing Freddie and she comes across three sleuths digging up a rose bed at the park. With Freddie seen digging in the area, the trio believe Lauren's body may have been buried there by Roy. Toyah loses it and smashes their car warning them off.

Later, Nick Tilsley is concerned about her behaviour as she bursts into tears, and soon Toyah rails at an upset Sam for losing Freddie in the first place.

The police come looking for Toyah about the incident, but she remains adamant she was right to defend Roy's reputation and to stop the sleuths from desecrating such a special place. Nick is confused by her choice of words, and he soon finds her breaking down in tears once more.

It's then that Toyah tells him that at 19 years of age, she gave birth to a stillborn baby girl. She kept it a secret and she buried her baby in the exact same place in the park where the group was digging.

It's then that Toyah takes a deep breath and admits to Nick that the baby's father was her rapist Phil Simmonds, which was a controversial storyline in 2001, where teenager Toyah was attacked and raped, with her attacker initially not revealed. Corrie eventually revealed a man named Phil was behind the assault, and he was imprisoned months later, and the soap is now revisiting the storyline after more than 20 years.

What happens next remains to be seen, with the spoilers teasing trouble ahead for Toyah when the police possibly make a discovery as they dig up the park and Bobby reckons they've found a body. Meanwhile, Roy could find himself "tricked into confessing" to Lauren's murder as the Internet sleuths use Freddie as hostage and to secure his safe return, Roy must confess to Lauren's murder in a sick twist.

Nina, Asha and Evelyn are horrified as they watch a video uploaded by the internet sleuths terrorising Roy and later in the week, Asha confides in Aadi that she's had a response from the troll behind the video and she's arranged to meet him in the precinct as Aadi offers to go with her as back up. Meanwhile, Evelyn calls at the cafe with some "missing Freddie" posters and a birthday card for Nina.

As part of Nina's birthday, Roy phones the cafe to wish Nina a happy birthday and Nina makes out that Freddie is fine and assures him that Dee-Dee is doing everything to secure his release. Later, Asha arrives at the precinct but there's no sign of Aadi as he's had to help Amy and he fails to notice Asha's missed calls. It's not long until TrueMan67 and his sidekick, Banditman, reveal themselves and start asking awkward questions to a scared Asha. Is Asha in danger and where's Freddie?

Later in the week, Roy confides in the prison officer that new evidence has come to light and he's hopeful he might be released. Meanwhile, in the court, Dee-Dee makes the case for Roy's bail application and describes how Bobby saw a man leaving Lauren's flat who didn't fit Roy's description.

However, despite the witness statement, the judge refuses Roy's bail application. Later, Dee-Dee visits Roy in his cell and tells him not to give up hope and that the police are planning a reconstruction. Later, Roy calls Carla from prison and asks her to come and see him as he needs to talk to her about Bobby's statement. Has Roy caught onto Bobby's lie?
