ITV Coronation Street viewers say ‘was not expecting that’ as ‘dead’ character makes surprise return

Coronation Street viewers were left stunned during Monday’s, episode of the ITV soap opera as a character thought dead made a shock return. In surprising scenes Lauren Bolton, played by Cait Fitton, turned up at the bedside of Roy Cropper (David Neilson) after he suffered a heart attack.

Lauren disappeared from the cobbles earlier this year prompting a huge investigation and Roy being suspected of her ‘murder’. He was eventually cleared of the crime and it was revealed that Joel Deering was behind her disappearance.

One person wrote: “Was not expecting that!! What a shocker!” A second echoed: “Fantastic news she’s back as well. Fantastic actress”.

A third commented: “Oh my goodness! Where on earth has she been hiding?” A further surprised fan said: “Can’t wait to see you back. Personally I think you are a great actress and play your part so well”

Not everyone was stunned by Lauren’s return with one person writing: “All this time she wasn't dead? Lol. U lot seriously need to go back to the drawing board. Got bored of that storyline after 2 weeks.”
