ITV Emmerdale fans plead why as they are not happy after show announcement

Emmerdale fans were annoyed after a show announcement.

Fans can usually get their fix of the latest from the fictional Yorkshire village on each weekday from 7.30pm. However, ITV has confirmed there will be a huge disruption to the traditional schedule as coverage of Euro 2024 gets underway tonight.

The international tournament gets started when Germany take on Scotland. Kick off is at 8.30pm and the coverage starts at 6.30pm on ITV.

A post on Emmerdale's official account has confirmed there will be no episode tonight. In the clip, Lisa Riley is in character as Mandy Dingle as she said: "As you know, the Euros kick off tonight.

"Yes they do. So that means there's no Emmerdale tonight and of course, the schedules are going to be affected. But don't worry, all you need to do is keep up with our socials and we will let you know when Emmerdale is on."

Fans took to the comments and were frustrated after the update. Marcelle said: "Why does football have to be on ITV?"

Linda added: "Why can't they move football" Nichola posted: "Why can't the football be on ITV2 nothing to watch again"

Linda posted: "I’m not happy as football is on as missing my Emmerdale."
