ITV Good Morning Britain presenter makes outfit plea to co-star live on air

Good Morning Britain's Ed Balls couldn't resist a playful jibe at co-presenter Andi Peters during the latest episode of the ITV breakfast show.

The 57-year-old former politician was on presenting duty on Thursday (July 11) alongside Kate Garraway, waking up the nation with the news that England have made it to the Euro 2024 final.

During the programme, they spoke to Andi, 53, who had the enviable task of sharing the latest competition details live from the Love Island villa in Mallorca.

However, it wasn't long before Ed took a friendly shot at Andi's outfit. On Wednesday's (July 10) episode, Andi sported a striking co-ord shirt and shorts matching set.

Before speaking to Andi, Ed quipped about his colleague's attire, saying: "Let's hope he's got a better dress sense than yesterday.", reports the Mirror.

Andi, donning a red vest for the day, jokingly took offence to Ed's comment before eagerly discussing being live in the famous villa, currently housing the remaining contestants of the ITV2 dating show.

This follows regular presenter Susanna Reid's announcement that she's taking a break from the show until September, although viewers "may" see her appear over the next couple of months.

She shared the news at the end of Wednesday's episode, reassuring co-host Ed that he was in the "good hands" of the GMB team, including Charlotte Hawkins.

Susanna Reid announced her departure, stating: "I'm going to say goodbye because it's now time for me to go off on a break, which means I say goodbye to you at home. You never sever know, I might pop up in the meantime, but otherwise I will be back in September! ".

Co-host Ed Balls playfully questioned her exit, asking: "Do you have to? " He continued with a light-hearted plea, "Can't you just stay for a bit? " Susanna reassured him, implying that the team would manage fine during her break and concluded with "I've got to say bye".
