Good Morning Britain's Laura Tobin has revealed when sunny weather will finally return to the UK. The weather presenter joined Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley in the This Morning studio as they discussed the weather.

Dr Zoe Williams also joined the chat, discussing the dangers of extreme sun as Europe continues to be hit by heatwaves. The UK has remained cool in recent weeks but Laura revealed warmer conditions are on their way.

She said the sunny weather would finally hit Britain on Monday, June 24. Ben said during the show on Wednesday, June 19: "We have had an urgent warning that has been issued with a deadly heatwave sweeping through Europe.

"Record temperature of over 40 degrees." Cat continued: "The unprecedented heat hitting earlier than usual has already resulted in multiple deaths and numerous missing people, intensifying concerns for holidaymakers."

Ben continued: "So Laura Tobin, who is of course the meteorologist from Good Morning Britain has joined us alongside Dr Zoe to find out a little bit more. Laura we have been moaning over here about where summer is but I know you said on Lorraine earlier this week that it’s next Monday."

As Cat asked the meteorologist if she was sure, Laura confirmed hotter temperatures for the UK, OK reports. Laura nodded as she confirmed: "Yes, yes, summer, book it in."

The UK experienced the coolest first ten days of June since 2020, in contrast to the hottest June on record this time last year when it was 32.2C in Lincolnshire and Surrey.
