Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway shared its poignant final instalment over the weekend, marking the end of their hit ITV series. Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly offered moving farewells as hosts.

On Monday's Good Morning Britain (April 15), host Susanna Reid expressed surprise upon finding "glitter everywhere" in her dressing room and throughout the ITV studios when she return to hosting duties on the news programme after a two-week break.

Confusingly, the dressing rooms were hijacked by fellow celebrities during the Saturday night spectacular, reports the Mirror. To shed some light on the situation, Susanna, 53, and her co-stars Ed Balls and Richard Arnold spoke with colleague Andi Peters about the finale.

When wondering who had utilised her dressing room, Andi, 53, revealed: "Susanna, your dressing room was used by Kaiser Chiefs! " In response, the host jestingly stated: "I Predict A Riot", referencing the band's renowned 2004 hit single. Andi then added: "Yes and there almost was one as I was in Laura's [Tobin] dressing room! In your dressing room, Richard, was Ben Foster the goalie, he was in your dressing room! ".

"It even got to the point where they required all the available dressing rooms at the television centre. They also used part of the adjacent hotel as makeshift dressing rooms! " queried, Ed Balls. He then asked who had been using his dressing room, leading to Andi disclosing: "Ed, yours was also Kaiser Chiefs! You, Susanna and the green room were all Kaiser Chiefs!"

Ant and Dec brought their unique brand of chaos to the final episode of their hit ITV series on Saturday night, leaving fans "gutted" as they announced the show was taking a break. The beloved presenting duo became emotional as they revealed that the latest instalment would be the last for now, with viewers expressing their sadness over the end of an era.

More than four million viewers tuned into watch the finale of Saturday Night Takeaway after Ant and Dec previously revealed they were pausing their entertainment series to "catch our breath".

The finale saw Holly Willoughby, Rylan Clark, Olly Murs, Davina McCall, Gino D’Acampo and Cheryl get their revenge on the Geordie duo during a pre-recorded restaurant prank which mirrored Ant and Dec’s popular Get Out Of My Ear segment. Meanwhile, Craig David entertained crowds outside the studio with a DJ set and Girls Aloud acted as the last Star Guest Announcers.

Saying farewell to the show, which began in 2002 and was previously paused between 2009 and 2013, Ant called it an "honour and a privilege" to host for so long. Dec told the audience that the experience was "beyond our wildest dreams" and they have "truly adored every second of making the show".

The finale also saw Ant and Dec joined by S Club, Tony Hadley and Kaiser Chiefs to perform the Leeds band’s hit track I Predict A Riot, while McFly's Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones sang a special version of their song All About You with the presenters. Britain’s Got Talent boss Simon Cowell and This Morning presenters Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond also appeared to farewell the duo, alongside TV presenter Andi Peters and radio host Jordan North.
