ITV Lorraine Kelly left cringing as Alan Carr savagely mocks her live on air

Lorraine Kelly couldn't help but blush as her guest, comedian Alan Carr, cheekily took a jab at her on air.

Lorraine was back on screens with another episode of her beloved chat show, discussing everything from health segments to competition updates with Andi Peters. Later in the show, she welcomed guests Alan and actor Shaun Dooley.

Alan was there to chat about his ITV series, 'Changing Ends', which is a semi-autobiographical look at his life, and he promised plenty of laughs as he teased what's to come in season two. However, before diving into the details of the popular series, Alan had a quick correction to make.

When Lorraine self-deprecatingly called herself a "geek" for enjoying Marvel movies like the upcoming 'Deadpool 3', Alan wasn't having a bar of it. As Lorraine suggested that she, Shaun, and Alan should act out scenes from the film, Alan humorously shut down the idea.

He quipped: " Oh, have a word with yourself! I don't want to because I have a life and friends! ", reports the Mirror. Lorraine, chuckling along, responded: "We haven't, we haven't! Alan and Shaun are next."

In another part of their conversation, Lorraine labelled Alan "naughty" when he amusingly remarked that his mum has masculine features. The funnyman recounted telling his mother that due to her broad shoulders, she might need to be portrayed by a man in his biographical TV show.

The much-loved Chatty Man, Alan, is set to return in season 2 of Changing Ends, where he'll share more heartwarming and hilarious stories from his youth, growing up gay in the 80s in Northampton.

Following its successful debut, the six-part series has bagged a prime Saturday evening slot on ITV1. Oliver Savell will be back as Young Alan, who, nearing his 12th birthday, continues to grapple with schoolyard bullying.

"The first series went down so well that I thought, if it ain't broke, don't fix it, and I've got so many more stories to tell," said 48 year old Alan. "I mean, my whole life is like a sitcom! ".

Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 9am
