A Place in the Sun presenter Laura Hamilton found herself in a tricky situation when property seekers Bob and Vida gave a resounding 'no' to a house on the Peloponnese Coast during Tuesday's show. The duo, who were on the hunt for their dream retirement spot in Greece with a healthy budget of £410,000, quickly dismissed a contemporary property priced at £436,271.

Vida was immediately put off by the property's proximity to a busy road, bluntly calling it "awful". Despite Laura's attempts to draw the couple inside to highlight the ready-to-move-in condition and stunning views, Vida remained unimpressed. Laura humorously tried to delay their appreciation of the view, saying "you're not allowed" to look just yet.

However, the viewing came to an abrupt halt before they could explore further, with Bob concluding, "It would be a waste of time because we don't like the location."

Laura, maintaining her professionalism, accepted their decision, conceding: "That's that which seems a great shame but if it's not in the right location then there's nothing I can do about that."

Bob and Vida's property search was a bit of a marathon, with the couple struggling to find a home they liked until their final attempt. The fifth property they viewed was priced just over £325,000, leading them to make an offer of £295,000, according to the Liverpool Echo, reports the Mirror. Their delight was palpable when their revised bid of £302,500 was accepted, securing them their new home.

In other news, Scarlette Douglas has admitted that she never envisaged being single and childless at 37. The 'A Place in the Sun' host has been concentrating on her career but still harbours hopes of starting a family someday.

Consequently, she has decided to freeze her eggs as a precautionary measure for potential motherhood in the future. While guesting on ITV's 'Lorraine', she confided in stand-in host Christine Lampard: "I never thought I'd be 37 with no man, no husband, and no baby."

She added: "Being a career-driven woman is fantastic but I do want to have a family so I have to take my future into my own hands and prepare myself for having kids at a later date."

"I, of course, would love to have a child naturally but that might not be the case so egg-freezing is something that had to be done as a backup." The former 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!' contestant confessed that she only fully understood the magnitude of what she was doing when she started the egg preservation process, which made her wonder why she hadn't considered it sooner.
