Fans of Tipping Point and The Chase have expressed their disappointment as ITV has 'cancelled' the two popular shows this week to make room for sports coverage. The programmes, which are usually a staple of ITV's afternoon and early evening schedules and hosted by Ben Shephard and Bradley Walsh respectively, have been absent from TV guides this week as the broadcaster prioritises live sporting events.

Over the coming weeks, both BBC1 and ITV1 schedules will be dominated by Euro 2024, particularly this week and next with all the group games to get through, reports Chronicle Live.

While BBC has moved many of its popular programmes, such as The One Show and EastEnders onto BBC2, ITV has completely removed shows from the air. In addition to the Euros, Royal Ascot is also being broadcast on ITV this week.

The famous horse meet has resulted in Loose Women being cut short by half an hour and, on Wednesday, June 19, Ascot aired straight after the Euros match between Croatia and Albania.

One disgruntled viewer expressed their frustration on social media, lamenting: "I'm missing 'Tipping Point' and 'The Chase' more than I'm enjoying the Euros."

Another fan, realising that their favourite shows would be cancelled for the week, wrote: "It's the last week of both #TippingPoint and #TheChase before the schedules get f**ked over for Euro 2024".

But fans won't have to wait long until the quiz shows are back on our screens as the TV guide suggests both programmes will air during their usual slots again from Monday, June 24.
