The final episode of ITV's Saturday Night Takeaway was thrown into chaos last Saturday (April 13) as Ant McPartlin brought filming to a standstill. Rehearsals for the popular show were disrupted when host Ant found himself in fits of giggles due to Jordan North's less-than-stellar singing and dancing attempts.

The new Capital FM presenter's efforts proved too much for Ant, leading to a pause in filming while he composed himself. The Mirror reports that Jordan North, who also struggled with clapping in time, shared on the radio with Sian Welby and Chris Stark that he had to enlist the help of a Strictly Come Dancing choreographer.

He recounted his experience on this morning's show, saying: "I made the boys (Ant and Dec) promise me that I didn't have to sing...they did. I had to the sing at the end of the show."

Sian added: "Chris if you did miss this, he sort of takes it on as a musical theatre role. And so he sort of speaks it."

As they reviewed a clip of Jordan's performance, Chris questioned his approach: "It's not a chant! " to which Jordan responded: "Because I was nervous and I can't sing, so in rehearsal right on Friday, Ant couldn't stop, we had to stop one of the rehearsals because Ant couldn't stop laughing!".

The entertainment mogul confessed, "He even said to a girl 'he can't even clap in time! ' I had to get some choreographer who usually works on Strictly, to stop the rehearsal to show me how to clap in time. Because everyone was clapping and I was on beat behind them, honestly. I have no rhythm at all."

This weekend saw a lively party erupt backstage post Saturday Night Takeaway's final episode for the season, making it one of the most sought-after events throughout the city. Duo Ant & Dec delivered an emotion-filled speech on the 20th series of their legendary show.

Among the guests toasting the wrap-up were high-profile names like Simon Cowell, Alison Hammond, Davina McCall, Rylan Clark and Girls Aloud, who all arrived shortly after the audience dispersed from the renowned studios at White City.

Speaking about the achievement, Ant said: "Saturday Night Takeaway is the kind of show Dec and I watched every Saturday growing up, so it's been an honour and a privilege to have made the show and to have been part of your Saturday nights for over 20 years."

To this, Dec chimed in with: "When we started this back in 2002, we thought we'd be lucky if we got to do this for maybe a couple of years, so what's happened has honestly been beyond our wildest dreams.

"We have truly adored every second of making the show, but there's one thing we've never ever forgotten, and that's the fact it's not our show it's your show. So we'd like to say a massive thank you to you, our incredible audience."
