On Saturday, Danny shared the studio with ex England, Chelsea and Juventus star Eni Aluko and ex-England and Manchester United right-back Gary Neville and, just as they have been over the last week, many viewers at home were impressed by his insights, meaning they were sad to see him go.

Taking to X after his ITV exit was announced, one fan wrote: "Real shame Danny Rohl has to leave the ITV studio to go to Sheffield Wednesday pre-season, a welcome voice on the panel" with a second tagging ITV Sport in their post as they commented: "thank you for giving us Danny Rohl. A refreshing choice, when it’s easy to go with bigger household names. But his contributions have been insightful & informative. Nice to see a pundit give genuine opinions."
