'I've got a feeling' Soccer Saturday pundits deliver Championship play-off verdict and Leeds call

The Championship has proven time and time again that you always need to expect the unexpected and making a prediction can often come back to bite you. For example, who had Ipswich Town making it back-to-back promotions and winning automatic promotion to the Premier League when the campaign began back in August?

The play-offs begin tomorrow with a series of entertaining games expected, but with all four teams left scratching around for any type of form and with a great unknown about who will prevail and join the Tractor Boys and league champions Leicester City in the Premier League next season.

It all begins with Norwich City hosting Leeds in the Sunday lunchtime kick-off, followed by West Bromwich Albion facing off against Southampton, with the return legs played Thursday and Friday next week as we discover which two sides will contest the Wembley final for the biggest financial prize in football.

Ahead of the play-offs starting, the Sky Sports Soccer Saturday team were all asked where their money would be in terms of the final promoted side this season. This is what Cinton Morrison, Darren Bent, Gary Rowett and Paul Merson had to say on the subject.

Clinton Morrison: “I think, me personally, I do think it will be a Leeds Southampton final. I actually do think it will be a Leeds – Southampton final, but don’t shout at the TV, West Brom and Norwich fans. It’s a difficult one. Leeds, Southampton. I am going to go for Leeds. Leeds will win it. Just win it. It will be a close final between them and Southampton.”

Darren Bent: “I am not saying Norwich, so Southampton.”

Gary Rowett: “I am going to go for Leeds.”

Paul Merson: “I have got a feeling for West Brom. I have a feeling for them. I think they are a decent team, and they have got no pressure on them. I think they will be the one.”
