Ivybridge allotments raided by thieves

A large number of sheds were broken into and burgled at allotments in Ivybridge overnight. Police said the break-ins took place at The Filham Allotments between 2pm yesterday and 8am today (Sunday, April 28).

The burglars reportedly cut the locks of the sheds before stealing items. Investigating officers are appealing to the public for information on the burglaries.

Police are also urging anyone with an allotment to make sure their valuables are secure or removed from the site.


Ivybridge and Rural Police posted on Facebook: "A large number of sheds have been broken into at The Filham allotments overnight with items being stolen and locks cut. If anyone saw anything suspicious between 2pm yesterday to 8am today please call 101 with crime ref 50240100963 or email Ivybridge@devonandcornwall.pnn.police.uk

"There is CCTV on sight / nearby so hopefully it will catch a vehicle or persons. If you have an allotment please make sure valuable items are kept securely (mark items) or removed from site."
