Jürgen Klopp insisted he had already drawn a line under his furious exchange with Mohamed Salah which was caught on camera during Liverpool's 2-2 draw at West Ham.

Liverpool's Premier League title hopes were dealt arguably the final crushing blow as they failed to win at the London Stadium. But it was the argument between Salah and Klopp before the Egyptian came on which will dominate the headlines.

Salah was dropped from the Liverpool starting lineup after bad night against Everton in their Merseyside derby defeat in midweek. Darwin Núñez was also left on the bench.

Just before the pair were introduced at the same time, Salah was seen remonstrating with Klopp, forcing Núñez to try and calm him down. After the game, Klopp was forced to address the incident in his TNT Sports interview.

Asked what was said, Klopp remained tight-lipped and said: "We have already spoken in the dressing room and for me that’s done."

Reds legend Jamie Carragher raised question marks over the future of Salah earlier this week. He declared the Egyptian has been "way off it" in recent weeks as he questioned his Merseyside derby performance.

"There is a real discussion for the new manager about what the future holds for Mo Salah – it's the first time we've asked that question. He only has a year to go on his contract,” Carragher said on Sky Sports.

"He's looked a shadow of himself for a lot of this season but especially since he's come back from injury. He is Liverpool's legend, superstar, one of the all-time greats. But he's been so far off it."

With Arne Slot in line to come in as a new manager, there's plenty of speculation the superstar could move on for a new challenge. His latest dispute with Klopp shortly before he departs will only ramp up questions over his future.
