Jack Grealish has been fined by magistrates after he admitted to speeding in a 30mph zone. The Ex-Aston Villa captain was fined £666 for driving at 44mph in his £100,000 Range Rover in Wythall, Worcestershire, last July.

Mr Grealish was due at Worcester magistrates’ court today (May 8) charged with speeding and failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle suspected of an offence when required. The 28-year-old did not appear in court this morning but pleaded guilty through his barrister.

Grealish, of Barnt Green, Worcestershire, was fined £666 and also ordered to pay £110 in court costs and a victim surcharge of £266, leaving him with a total bill of £1,042. He was also handed five penalty points on his driving licence.

The court was told how England star Grealish was caught speeding by a mobile speed camera on Station Road, Wythall, while driving a Range Rover Sport on the morning of July 17 2023. Jack Grealish ’s barrister, John Dye, said he had been “instructed to apologise” on Grealish’s behalf.

A second charge of failing to give information to the police relating to the identification of the driver was withdrawn after his guilty plea. Jack Grealish’s barrister, Mr Dye, said of his client: "Mr Grealish means no discourtesy by not attending. I am instructed to enter a guilty plea on his behalf in relation to speeding."

After confirming that the maximum penalty for the offence was £1,000, reduced to £666 after a guilty plea, Mr Dye told the court: "He can afford to pay that figure. I am asked to apologise on his behalf. It was a mistake."

The case is the second time in four years that the former Aston Villa footballer has faced a court over driving offences. Grealish was banned from driving for nine months in 2020 and given an £82,499 fine for two counts of careless driving.
