Jaden Philogene is benefitting from being settled and happy at Hull City, according to Sky Sports pundit and co-commentator Andy Hinchcliffe.

The former Sheffield Wednesday defender has highlighted both Philogene and his City teammate Fabio Carvalho as two players who make Liam Rosenior's men dangerous as they look to claim a 12th away win of the season at Plymouth Argyle on Saturday, but says the fact the ex-Aston Villa winger looks at home.

City know they must beat the struggling Pilgrims and hope Preston North End can win at West Brom if they're to overthrow the Baggies and claim sixth spot at the end of a thrilling season in the Championship.

Key to beating Plymouth and potentially sending the Devon club back to League One after just one season will be Philogene and Carvalho with the pair notching 21 goals between them this season.

So good has Philogene been since his summer move from Aston Villa, the 21-year-old has made his debut for England's Under-21s and collected the Young Player of the Year crown at City's awards evening on Tuesday.

"He's (Jaden) been absolutely outstanding," Hinchcliffe told Sky Sports. "He's here permanently, which I think makes a difference when a player's got at home. He's a ball carrier, a dribbler, he can go left, he can go, right. He can create goals, he can score goals.

"I think Fabio Carvalho has stolen a lot of the headlines and rightly so, but Jaden Philogene has been outstanding - four goals in his last five games (before the game with Ipswich). And I think Philogene and Carvalho make them so dangerous."
