Jadon Sancho Man United transfer feelings made clear as new verdict revealed

Jadon Sancho's future at Manchester United appears to be in doubt after a survey conducted by the Manchester Evening News revealed that only 33% of Reds fans want the forward to remain at Old Trafford.

England international Sancho spent the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund after a public falling out with United manager Ten Hag following a 2-1 defeat at Arsenal in September. The 24-year-old hit back at the Dutchman's claims that his efforts in training had not been up to standard in the days before United's defeat at the Emirates.

As a result of the feud, Sancho re-joined Dortmund in January and helped the Bundesliga side reach the Champions League final as he impressed in the knockout stages against Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

But despite such eye-catching performances, it appears that most United fans would be happy for the club to part ways with Sancho, who cost £73m in July 2021.

That's according to a survey carried out by the MEN in which readers could have their say on who should stay and who should leave Old Trafford this summer. In Sancho's case, only 33.8% of the 62,417 United supporters were in favour of keeping the England international.

Speaking about the possibility of Sancho returning to Dortmund on a permanent deal this summer, Sporting Director Sebastian Kehl said: “I don’t know yet but it was great to have him in the last six months. He has increased the quality of the team. He wants to win [against Madrid tonight at Wembley], everything else will be decided afterwards.

“He still has a contract at Manchester United. We have no buy-out option so we have to negotiate. I hope he scores tonight although that means the price will go up.”

Sancho has two years remaining on his current deal at Old Trafford.
