The YouTube beauty community drama of old has resurfaced recently and it might not be slowing down any time soon.

To recap: back in 2019, Tati Westbrook famously called out James Charles in her 43-minute 'Bye Sister' video. However, recent accusations have pointed the finger at Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star for planning James' cancellation, prompting Tati to release a new video accusing Shane and Jeffree of "manipulating" and "coercing" her into posting the 'Bye Sister' video, saying they fed her "poisonous lies".

On top of that, Shane Dawson also made some pretty explosive comments about James Charles and the beauty community, before publicly apologising to James in a video titled 'Taking Accountability'.

But now, James Charles has said he's "staying out" of the drama.

When asked by paps about what's been happening in the beauty community, James said, "I'm just staying out of it, minding my own business. I just moved into a beautiful new house. I have great friends around me."

He added that he doesn't want to talk about Shane Dawson when questioned on whether Shane should be forgiven for his recent comments, saying, "I don't want to talk about anything in relation to him."

James also revealed that he hasn't spoken to Shane at all since the YouTuber's recent comments, before adding, "I don't really want to address anything regarding to the drama."

On top of that, with various YouTubers coming under fire in recent years for their offensive comments, James was questioned on whether he thinks using so-called "dark humour" in the past should be "overlooked". He responded saying, "I think it should always be looked at on a case by case basis, and making sure that people are changing actively. That's what I've always believed in."

So, we wouldn't count on a lengthy response video from James coming our way any time soon, but it looks like staying out of the situation is the best thing for the 21-year-old to do.
