Jamie Dornan has delighted the staff at a Scottish hotel during his stay while shooting for his latest Netflix drama.

The NI actor, known for his role in 50 Shades of Grey, is currently in the Highlands taking on the roles of identical twins Adam and Lee in The Undertow.

Filming for The Undertow has taken place across various locations in the Scottish Highlands and Islands, including Sutherland and the Isle of Mull, selected for their "breathtaking beauty" by Netflix chiefs, reports the Daily Record.

Holywood man Dornan has been staying at a hotel in Fort William, a building with a past life as a police station. The hotel's Facebook page posted about their special guest once he'd checked out.

Posting on Facebook, The Garrison Hotel shared: "It's not everyday we have Mr Christian Grey down for breakfast with us at the Garrison. We were delighted to have Jamie Dornan stay with us the past few days whilst he was filming a new Netflix series in the area!"

Fans were quick to express their excitement in the comments section. One fan wrote excitedly: "OMG I'm on my waaaaayyyyyy."

Another added: "I love him", as a disappointed fan said: "Typical it wasnt anytime i was staying!" And another added: "Whaaaaaat."

Nira Park from Complete Fiction, the producer behind the upcoming Netflix series, previously shared: "From the winding mountain roads, the lochs that reflect an endless sky, and the sea that promises both escape and danger, The Undertow captures the claustrophobia, isolation and breathtaking beauty of a small coastal community, as lies from the past flood back and threaten to destroy it."

Suffocating in a loveless marriage to Adam, Nicola - played by Mackenzie Davis - sees her life take a dramatic turn when Adam's long-estranged identical twin brother Lee comes crashing back into her life, and their tangled romantic past threatens to destroy the present.

A split-second decision and a terrible accident drives Nicola to protect her children, and over the course of one week, Lee and Nicola are forced together, struggling to maintain a web of secrets and lies.

Glaswegian actor Iain De Caestecker also stars as Marty, police constable and best friend of Lee.

Set for release next year, The Undertow is adapted from the Nordisk Film Production AS television series, Twin.
