Jamie Lynn Spears returns for “DWTS ”finale after being 'medically cleared'

After leaving "I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here" for medical reasons, Spears returned to the ballroom.

The actress returned to Dancing With the Stars for the season 32 finale on Tuesday night. The actress spent her fall hopping from one reality show to another...and back. In September, Spears was one of the 14 celebrities to join the cast of the ABC dance series. She and her partner Alan Bersten were eliminated in the second week of the competition.

From there, Spears went on to star on season 23 of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here, only to leave for undisclosed medical reasons.

But Spears announced she was "medically cleared" to return to DWTS, sharing on her Instagram story that she "took the first flight" as soon as she got the news.

It's tradition for all of the season's competitors to return for the finale each year. Spears joined the rest of the season 32 cast for an opening number that kicked off the competition after a tiresome 30 minute recap clip package.

From the time Spears was announced as part of the season 32 cast, she was the subject of internet backlash, with many actively rooting for her to fail due to her alleged role in perpetuating the conservatorship of her sister, pop star Britney Spears.

But her professional partner only had nice things to say. "Honestly, I think people would be so surprised at how awesome Jamie Lynn is," Bersten previously told EW. "She works so hard but there was never a hard day. People might assume things of people, but at the end of the day, she was such a sweet person and honestly, I'm going to miss dancing with her."

The Zoey 102 actress also competed on the first season of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, but voluntarily withdrew in episode 3 back in January.
