Jamie O'Hara insists England look like Scotland with 'worst ever' display as Three Lions 'stink out' Frankfurt

TalkSport loudmouth Jamie O'Hara couldn't help himself dragging Scotland into his England whining as he compared the Three Lions' performance against Denmark to their dark blue neighbours.

The knives are out for Gareth Southgate already after the apparent Euro 2024 favourites weren't just held by Denmark in a 1-1 draw, but were largely outplayed and fortunate to get another point on the board from their Group C clash in Frankfurt. Harry Kane's opener was cancelled out by a thumping Morten Hjulmand effort, and from then on it was the Scandinavians who looked the more likely winners.

England can secure their place in the knockout stage with anything but defeat against Slovakia in their final group game. But the pre-tournament bravado based on going all the way seems to have evaporated thanks to a turgid display that saw arguably the most expensive squad in the tournament based on club transfer fees struggle to get going and leave their fans fearing for what's to come.

But during a watchalong of the game, O'Hara had to shoehorn a dig at the Scots into his stream of anger. While Steve Clarke's men struggled badly in their opening night clash with Germany, they gave themselves a chance of making it out of Group A with an improved display against Switzerland in a 1-1 draw - not that O'Hara seemed to have watched any of it.

He said: "We look like Scotland right now. What am I watching? We look like Scotland. Mate, we are awful. Only one player deserves to be in an England shirt today is Marc Guehi. Awful performance. Awful performance from England, terrible.

"We don't deserve to win. I can't believe how bad of an England performance this has been. This has been coming, though."

Fellow TalkSport blowhard Jason Cundy added: "I think this is probably the worst performance under Southgate in a tournament. We are stinking Frankfurt out, we are stinking Germany out."
