At Sister — which is led by CEO Holland, CCO Jane Featherstone and executive chair Elisabeth Murdoch — Wiseman will specifically focus on developing and producing premium scripted programming.

The hire marks a reunion for Wiseman and Holland, who both worked together for seven years at the streaming giant. Wiseman joined Netflix in 2013 as an early member of Holland’s content team and developed hits including Dead to Me, Russian Doll, Grace and Frankie, Master of None, Narcos, Ozark and Big Mouth, among others.

Since exiting Netflix, Wiseman has served as a consultant for a variety of streamers and most recently was at Amazon MGM Studios.

“Sister’s slate is ambitious, audacious and artist-forward, exactly the kind of work I want to support in this next chapter,” said Wiseman. “On a personal level, I couldn’t be happier to reunite with Cindy and to work closely with her, Jane Featherstone and the whole Sister team.”

Before her tenure at Netflix, Wiseman was senior vp comedy at Chernin, where she helped develop New Girl. Before that, she was senior vp comedy at NBCUniversal, where her credits include Parks and Recreation and Community. Before that, she was a director of comedy development at Fox, where she was part of the team that developed Arrested Development.

“Jane is a multi-faceted executive with great passion and curiosity, combined with smart business and creative instincts. She’s a powerful advocate for artists and a generous collaborator, which makes her a great fit for our team at Sister,” said Holland. “I’m really looking forward to welcoming Jane to our team and working with her again.”

Sister’s credits include The Power, This Is Going to. Hurt, Gangs of London and Chernobyl. Upcoming programming includes Kaos at Netflix and BBC One’s The Split Up, among others.
