Janey Godley has candidly opened up to fans as she shared another health update. The Scottish comedian is currently battling terminal cancer, and has vowed to continue performing.

The 62-year-old revealed she was unable to continue her tour dates back in November 2021 after being admitted to hospital for ovarian cancer which has since been diagnosed as terminal, though the disease is being kept under control.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Janey shared her most recent health update as she admitted to being 'terrified' for what is to come. Janey shared a photo of herself following cancer treatment with no hair, alongside another photo of her looking fit and healthy.

She wrote in the caption to her 188k followers: "2022 I never thought I’d make another year, I am still terrified - my cancer number is up high but the scans are showing no change, which means something is happening.

"Every single twinge and pain scares me but here I am 2 years later still on tour - janeygodley.com."

"You're amazing. Keep taking care of yourself and do what makes you happy every day," another fan wrote as the post was flooded with messages for the comedian.

Back in January, Janey gave an update on social media after receiving her latest cancer scan results as she thanked the NHS and Beatson for all their care.

The comic captioned her video update: "The scan news is in - me and Ashley laugh and cheer Thanks to the Scottish NHS And everyone at the Beatson I have incurable cancer but it’s treatable.

"The scan results are in and there is no change from the scan in November 2023. So that means no change, doesn't mean I am cured or the cancer has gone away."

She continued: "I am still getting the same treatment so it's a clear scan but I still have terminal cancer."
