Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet are officially divorced after 7 years of marriage

The actors were a couple for 12 years before they wed, and they share two teenage children.

Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa's divorce is now official.

A Los Angeles County judge's dissolution of the former couple's seven-year marriage took effect Tuesday, according to the Associated Press. The divorce, which went through without dispute, will see the couple sharing joint custody of their 16-year-old daughter and 15-year-old son. Neither Bonet, 56, nor Momoa, 44, have requested financial support, and they have agreed on terms to split their assets.

Representatives for Bonet and Momoa didn't immediately respond to Entertainment Weekly's request for comment.

The news comes two years after the couple publicly announced their breakup. The Ray Donovan actress filed to divorce the Aquaman star in January, citing their date of separation as Oct. 7, 2020. Their marriage was the first for Momoa and the second for Bonet, who also shares daughter Zoë Kravitz with ex-husband Lenny Kravitz.

Bonet and Momoa first crossed paths in 2005, when they hit it off in a jazz club. In 2017, they wed in an intimate California ceremony. Five years later, they announced their split in a since-deleted social media post.

"We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times," Momoa and Bonet said in a joint statement. "A revolution is unfolding and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring. And so we share our Family news that we are parting ways in marriage."

Amid rumors in 2022 that they were rekindling their romance, Momoa spoke of Bonet on the Oscars red carpet, setting the record straight and addressing their role as co-parents. "We're not back together," he told Access Hollywood. "We're family… We have two beautiful children together."

Since the split, Momoa has confirmed his romance with Hit Man actress Adria Arjona. The couple made their relationship Instagram-official in May, when Momoa shared photos of their trip to Japan.

"Japan, you are a dream come true you blew my mind," he captioned the post. "We're so thankful for everyone who opened their homes, making memories with new friends and old friends, sharing another amazing adventure with mi amor."
