Jay Leno has revealed he broke multiple bones in a motorcycle crash – just two months after he suffered “deep second-degree” and possibly third-degree burns in a garage fire.

The 72-year-old comic and former late-night TV host is currently gearing up for a new Las Vegas live show which opens in March and marks his first appearance in Sin City since 2019.

Speaking to the Las Vegas Review Journal, Leno surprised the publication with his response when asked how he was recovering following the fire incident in November.

He said: “It’s so funny you should say that. That was the first accident. OK? Then just last week, I got knocked off my motorcycle.

“So I’ve got a broken collarbone. I’ve got two broken ribs. I’ve got two cracked kneecaps. But I’m OK! I’m OK, I’m working. I’m working this weekend.”

The Standard has contacted a representative for Jay Leno for further comment.

In mid-November, the former host of The Tonight Show was working in his garage when one of his cars suddenly burst into flames, leaving him with second and third-degree burns.

He was immediately taken to Grossman Burn Center, where he underwent skin graft surgeries to his chest, hands and face.

“I got some serious burns from a gasoline fire. I am OK. Just need a week or two to get back on my feet,” Leno said in a statement at the time.
