Jay Slater's friends forced to make heartbreaking decision three weeks on

Jay Slater's friends have been forced to make a heartbreaking decision as his family haul in expert help. The missing apprentice bricklayer's pals have been forced to fly home from Tenerife in the Canary Islands after spending three weeks helping the search.

Lucy Law was staying with Jay in Spain, alongside pal Brad. The pair have helped search for the missing teen but four weeks into the search and no sign of Jay, the two made the difficult decision to fly back home to the UK, MailOnline reports.

Brad, Lucy and Jay had been staying together at a three-star complex in Los Cristianos and since his disappearance, Brad has been staying with his mum Rachel, who is friends with Debbie. Brad has since been spotted at the Tenerife south airport late on Sunday evening and is believed to have returned to Oswaldtwistle in Lancashire.

It is understood that Lucy returned some time earlier after doing all she could to help find her friend. Jay’s friend Lucy claimed to have “tracked down” the two men in the Airbnb Jay spent time with after he vanished - quizzing them on the morning of Jay’s disappearance.

Some reports have suggested Lucy knew the two men, although it is not clear how. His uncle, Glen Duncan, is convinced of “third party involvement”. And the teen’s devastated dad, Warren Slater, says “everything stinks”.

Dad Warren is out in Tenerife alongside Jay's mum Debbie Duncan, and brother Zak, as they try to find the missing apprentice bricklayer. Dad Warren told The Sun: "My starting position, I’ve said this from day one, ask the two men who’ve taken him - and then start from there."

It comes as Jay's "desperate" family has vowed to continue on their search in Tenerife until the missing teen is found safe and well.
