This perfect, flattering J.Crew maxi dress is 75% off during the big End of Season Sale
My favorite summertime wardrobe basic is a maxi dress. I probably wear one at least twice a week with sneakers, sandals or even heels, depending on the occasion. All I need is one piece to make it look like I put some effort into my look, even if I didn’t have time to shave my legs or cover up the random bruise I found by my knee. I probably have over 20 maxi dresses at this point, but when I see a good one on sale, I can’t help but add it to my collection. Case in point: J.Crew is having its massive End of Season Sale, and its Gwyneth V-neck Slip Dress is up to 75% off.

The Gwyneth V-Neck Slip Dress comes in eight colors, but a pretty printed green and a bright, vibrant coral are currently on sale. The coral is still available in my size, so it’s the one I have my eye on. It regularly retails for $128, but when you use code SHOPSALE at checkout, it takes the price down to $32.99.
The dress has a maxi or midi length, depending on how tall you are, and adjustable straps. Since the straps are slightly thicker than your average spaghetti strap, you could easily wear a bra with it. Also, it is a ’90s-inspired slip dress — but it’s not as shiny as the traditional satin ones. According to the product description, this one has a cupro-viscose blend material, which feels as buttery soft and smooth as silk, but it’s machine washable.
“Perfect everyday dress,” wrote one reviewer on J.Crew’s website. “I have this dress in three colors and absolutely love it. It doesn’t cling, it skims my curves in all the right places. Easy to wear with sandals, heels or sneakers, making it versatile for any occasion… It does wrinkle easily but a spritz of water and smoothing works in a pinch!”
Essentially, it’s the perfect, most flattering type of dress you could own — and how many bright coral pieces do you have? I don’t have any, so I’m stepping out of my comfort zone and going to pair it with raffia slides.
