Twins John and Edward Grimes made the announcement on Twitter, posting a video informing fans that the dramatic makeover will take place on Irish talk show The Late Late Show.
John said: “We are on The Late Late Show this week shaving off our quiffs to raise much needed funds for the Irish Cancer Society.”
His brother Edward added: “We hope all the funds raised will contribute to a cancer-free future, this is such a good cause.”
‘We’re sending so much strength and love to all those suffering with cancer.’
The Irish Cancer Society thanked the pair on Instagram for their fundraising efforts on the charity's biggest fundraiser of the year — Daffodil Day — which aims to support cancer patients and their loved ones by providing free advice and support, as well as by funding life-saving cancer research.
Their mum Susanna sadly passed away in 2019 with the pair writing a tribute to her on Instagram.
They said: ‘You lived with cancer for many years but your passing was unexpected because you had overcome so many struggles and health complications.
"You will be missed to infinity ❤️ Thinking of you always"
The twin brothers became a household name on The X Factor in 2009 and were managed by fellow Irishman Louis Walsh.
They released four albums including Planet Jedward and Voice of a Rebel, and appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2011 and 2017.
