Bezos recently moved to South Florida after purchasing a $79 million, seven-bedroom mansion on a small private island in Biscayne Bay in September 2023. Additionally, the Amazon founder bought a neighboring home that June for $68 million.
Meanwhile, Sánchez just shared cover for her children’s book, called The Fly Who Flew to Space, which is set to hit shelves on Sept. 17.
"I've had this idea for a long time," Sánchez, 54, exclusively told PEOPLE. "But it was a little bit different when I envisioned it all those years ago. Back then it was about a fly that got stuck in a helicopter. I was actually learning to fly helicopters at the time, and it happened to me. I was like, 'Oh, look at this little fly...who's flying.'"
She also recently told PEOPLE that she will soon announce who's joining her all-female flight to space on Blue Origin soon, which she first announced in 2022.
"I'm extremely excited," she said. "We haven't announced the date yet, but it will be this year. And we'll start announcing my fellow astronauts in the coming months."
