Jeff Brazier's sons Bobby and Freddie stay close to late mum Jade Goody through her friends

Jeff Brazier has shared the heartwarming way in which his sons Bobby and Freddie stay close to their late mum Jade Goody's friends, who are still a big part of their lives.

TV presenter Brazier, 44, has raised his sons alone since their mum's death in 2009 and the proud dad shared a photo from Freddie's 19th birthday celebrations where he paid tribute to the important role his godmothers play.

Posting a photo on Instagram of his sons with their cousins and godmothers surrounding them, Brazier wrote: "The youngest turned 19 yesterday.

"He always astounds with his qualities and has taught me lessons in parenting that have helped me grow and adapt in ways I never thought possible.

"The pic is from last night with his godmums and some of his cousins but a huge thank you to everyone else that attended last night and WOW does the boy have some strong, resourced and nurturing women around him. So confirming for him having them all in one place at the same time.

"Thank you for making me a better man Fred and here’s to a wonderful 19th year."

Freddie and Bobby were just four and five when reality TV star Goody died of cervical cancer aged 27, having been told of her diagnosis while taking part in the Indian version of Big Brother.

She and Brazier had split in 2004, but remained close as co-parents and Brazier has spoken previously about how devastated he was by her death.

Brazier's fans were moved by the photo from Freddie's birthday, with one person commenting: "It seems like Jade's friends are a big part of the boys lives and this is just so beautiful to see. It takes a village hey - well done and happy birthday to Freddie."

Another person commented: "Love that all Jade's good friends are part of your life - amazing."

Another fan wrote: "I just love seeing all those women in this picture after seeing them years ago in those boys' lives with Jade. True friendship."

Someone else added: "Happy birthday Freddie , i hope you had an amazing day. I love how Jade's best friends are in Freddie and Bobby's lives."

Bobby, 20, is taking part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing and recently won a rising star National Television Award for his role as Freddie Slater in EastEnders.
