Jenna Coleman has revealed she’s expecting her first child as she debuted her baby bump on Wednesday evening.

The Doctor Who star, 37, showed off her bump as she attended a dinner to celebrate the opening of the new exhibition, Imaginary Conversations: An ERDEM Collection Inspired by Duchess Deborah, at Chatsworth House.

Wearing a long floral Erdem dress with a black waistband, the Victoria actress posed for photographs with her hands gently cradling her baby bump.

Until now, Coleman had not hinted at her pregnancy on social media and has yet to publicly acknowledge the news on any of her platforms.

The Standard has contacted Jenna Coleman’s rep for comment.

The star was one of several famous faces who attended an intimate dinner hosted by Erdem x FARFETCH to mark the exhibition’s opening at the stately home.

In other photos from the evening, Coleman was seen rubbing shoulders with Gugu Mbatha Raw, India Amarteifio, Keira Knightley and her husband James Righton.

The joyful news comes six months after she sparked speculation she had wed her director boyfriend, Jamie Childs, 35, when she was seen wearing a chunky gold band on her wedding finger. However, the ring was notably absent on Wednesday night.

The pair met on the set of Netflix series The Sandman, an adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s comic book series, in 2020. The pair later worked together again on Childs’ first film Jackdaw.

Previously, Coleman dated Tom Hughes, her co-star who played Prince Albert in ITV’s Victoria, from 2016 until their split in 2020.

Before Hughes, she was in a relationship with Richard Madden, known for his roles in Bodyguard and Game Of Thrones, from 2012 until 2015.

Coleman is known for keeping her relationships private and has never publicly discussed her romance with Childs.

In 2019, the British star explained that she didn't feel pressured to start a family and preferred to explore more of the world first.

She told Harper’s Bazaar UK at the time: “Half of my friends have babies, and half don’t, so it doesn’t feel like a pressure. I want to take my time.

“There’s a whole lot more of the world for me to see first. I’d love to have children one day. But not nine of them. I can tell you that as a fact.”
