Jenna Dewan will be welcoming her third child any day now, but before the new arrival makes headlines, the star is opening up in a new interview about how she navigates co-parenting with her ex, Channing Tatum, and how she looks at her blended family as an exciting "new normal." Dewan has two children: an 11-year-old daughter named Everly whom she shares with Tatum and a 4-year-old son named Callum with her fiancé, Steve Kazee.

"Like everything else in life, you learn as you go. You shift and evolve and you adapt to how life is presenting itself to you," she told People. "That includes getting the new normal of a blended family."

She noted that no matter what is going on, she puts her kids first, which she says is her biggest key to navigating the complexities of a Hollywood divorce and a high-profile relationship.

"Kids always come first. How you feel about your kids. How you treat your kids. Kids always come first above everything else," she shared.

In addition to prepping for the birth of her third child, Dewan has been navigating legal issues with Tatum and the Magic Mike franchise.

As for how her kids are preparing for the arrival of baby no. 3, Dewan explained that her children are ready and excited.

"[Everly] is the oldest, so she gets it the most. And I think because she was still so young when Callum was born, this will be really special for her," Dewan said. "She's just going to have more responsibility, but she's also going to have more wisdom to her."

The star also noted that she won't be taking any time off of work when the baby arrives—Dewan is currently starring in The Rookie. She knows that it'll take some juggling, but she's hopeful that the help she gets from her support system will let her continue to film.

"There's three schedules versus two, and I do work full-time, and it's a giant moving calendar at all times," she said. "But I have an incredible partner and I've gotten it a little bit down now, how to multitask with schedules. You have to be okay to be open and ask for help when you need it."
