Jennifer Garner Celebrates Her Mother Pat's 86th Birthday: ‘I Love You, Mom’

Jennifer Garner is her mom's biggest fan.
On Wednesday, May 15, the Family Switch star, 52, shared a tribute to her mom, Pat, on Instagram for her birthday.
"This is a Pat Garner stan account. ♥️😂 I love you, Mom, happy 86th birthday! 🥳," Garner captioned a carousel of funny videos featuring her mom giving her cooking tips on video calls and lamenting about exercising.
Celebrities like Selma Blair and Hilary Swank wished Pat well in the comments.
"Happy birthday mom. I’m desperate to learn how to be adorable like your daughter. ♥️," Bair, 51 wrote, while Swank, 49, added, "Ha! I love your mom so much, you’re not too bad either 😉💞."
On a recent episode of Kelly Corrigan Wonders: About Your Mother, a podcast co-hosted by Christy Turlington Burns in support of Every Mother Counts, Garner shared the best parenting advice her mother ever gave her.
"My mom always says when they're being their worst, that's when they need the biggest hug," Garner revealed, adding that she also advises saying "yes" more than "no" in life.
Pat's 86th birthday comes almost two months after the death of her husband, William, on Saturday, March 30 at the age of 85.

Garner announced her father's death on Monday, April 1 in an Instagram tribute.
"My dad passed peacefully Saturday afternoon. We were with him, singing Amazing Grace as he left us (did we carry him across or scare him away— valid question.)," she captioned a carousel of photos and videos from throughout William's life.

"While there is no tragedy in the death of an 85 year old [SIC] man who lived a healthy, wonderful life, I know grief is unavoidable, waiting around unexpected corners," Garner continued.
"Today is for gratitude," she said, acknowledging her dad's "gentle demeanor and quiet strength."
