Jennifer Garner has responded to reports that she may appear in Deadpool 3.

Back in July, it was reported that the actress could be reprising her role as Elektra – the Marvel role she played in 2003's Daredevil and 2005 spin-off Elektra.

While nothing has been officially confirmed, Garner was asked about the rumours in a new interview with Collider.

Pressed on whether she thought she would ever wear the suit again, the star replied: "I don't know what you're talking about. What could you mean?"

It was then mentioned that she could "hypothetically" appear in Deadpool 3, Garner saying: "Not that I'm aware of."

One classic Marvel star we do know will be appearing in the third Deadpool movie is Hugh Jackman, who is returning as Wolverine.

There are also rumours that Taylor Swift could be making her Marvel debut, possibly as comics character Dazzler, though nothing has been confirmed.

Responding to the speculation over the pop superstar, star Ryan Reynolds recently said: "Yeah, I've heard that one. I love it (the gossip).

"I think it is a sign of how eager people are to get a peek behind the curtain in this world. Every single one of these secrets and spoilers will be revealed on July 26."

In other Deadpool news, this week it was confirmed that the upcoming movie had resumed filming following a shutdown amid the SAG-AFTRA strike, which came to an end earlier this month.

As well as the return of Reynolds, the third movie will see the additions of The Crown's Emma Corrin and Succession's Matthew Macfadyen.

Deadpool and Deadpool 2 are streaming on Disney+. Deadpool 3, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, will hit theatres on July 26, 2024.
