Jennifer Lawrence speaks about her relationship with 'Mother' director Darren Aronofsky

Earlier this week, the internet trolled Jennifer Lawrence and unfairly blamed her for the breakdown of Chris Pratt and Anna Faris’ marriage.

She recently co-starred with Pratt in ‘Passengers’, but many of those who slammed her were surely unaware that she has, in fact, been dating her ‘Mother’ director Darren Aronofsky for several months.

She’s now opened up about her new relationship and when asked what first attracted her to the filmmaker, she told Vogue: ‘We had energy’ before admitting that she thinks her boyfriend is ‘brilliant’.

She added: ‘When I saw the movie, I was reminded all over again how brilliant he is. For the past year, I’ve been dealing with him as just a human.’

‘I’ve been in relationships before where I am just confused. And I’m never confused with him.’

Aronofsky is 22 years older than Lawrence, 26, and he has a child with his ex Rachel Weisz.

Despite her obvious affection for the director, Lawrence admitted working with your partner isn’t always plain sailing, and she got a broken rib on set.

‘I ended up getting on oxygen. I have oxygen tubes in my nostrils, and Darren’s like, ‘It was out of focus; we’ve got to do it again.’ And I was just like, ‘Go f**k yourself.’
