Live from New York, it’s Jenny from the block!
Saturday Night Live announced on Wednesday that Jennifer Lopez, 54, is confirmed as the musical guest on the upcoming Feb. 3 episode. The pop superstar will appear alongside Ayo Edebiri, who is making her hosting debut on the late-night series.
The singer/actress’ upcoming appearance will mark her fourth time on SNL.

Lopez appeared on the show for the first time in 2000, with host Alan Cumming, and returned one year later in 2001 as both the host and musical guest. In 2010, the “Let’s Get Loud” singer pulled double duty yet again, and most recently in 2019 she hosted the show, while DaBaby performed.
Edebiri, meanwhile, will host the show for the first time as she comes off a successful awards season. The star of The Bear, 28, recently took home an Emmy, Golden Globe and Critic’s Choice award for her performance as Sydney on the FX series.
Earlier this year, the performer — who has a background in stand-up comedy and comedic writing — also led the film Bottoms, along with Rachel Sennott.
Edebiri and Lopez’s SNL appearance will follow Dakota Johnson and Justin Timberlake, who are hosting and performing, respectively, on Saturday.

J. Lo will be taking to the Studio 8H stage just ahead of the release of her long-awaited, ninth studio album This Is Me... Now, which is due out Feb. 16. The record acts as a follow-up to her 2002 project This Is Me... Then, which explored her relationship with then-boyfriend Ben Affleck, and comes a decade after she released her last full-length effort A.K.A.

The pop superstar’s new record is set to arrive along with a film, This Is Me… Now: A Love Story, which is described by the official synopsis as a “narrative-driven cinematic odyssey, steeped in mythological storytelling and personal healing."
The trailer for the project, which Lopez created along with Grammy-winning director Dave Meyers, dropped last week.
The “On the Floor” singer has also since shared the single "Can't Get Enough.”
Ahead of the premiere for the track’s music video, the Hustlers actress opened up to fans in a YouTube live stream about her decision to record the dance banger and release it as her lead single.
She said, “I love a love song, but I need something — and I kept saying this to them — that I can perform.”
"So when we first heard this song, everyone just knew that this was the one to launch This Is Me…Now," the Grammy-nominated artist added. "It has an energy, it has a happiness to it and you feel it all."
During her live stream, the Marry Me star also shared what she considers to be the theme of her latest project. She shared, “All of you have been following my journey, and I think you’ve seen me … What I wanted to tell everybody with the album... is true love actually exists."
A source recently told PEOPLE how much Lopez is looking forward to sharing her latest project with fans.
The source said, “It’s been the perfect time to focus on a new album. She’s loved creating new music. She’s very excited [about] it.”
As Lopez has said that she turned to Affleck, 51, for inspiration and advice on filmmaking while working on This Is Me… Now, the insider also shared how he’s been a supportive husband throughout the process. They added, “Ben’s proud of her. He’s her biggest fan. He loves how hard working and focused she is.”
