‘Jeopardy!’ fans not happy with Mayim Bialik’s new game phrasing

The first round of “Jeopardy!” is normally referred to as the “Jeopardy!” round, however co-host Mayim Bialik spiced things up on Thursday by calling it “Single Jeopardy!”. Turns out this wasn’t the first either. In the past week

While Bialik has been a great fill-in host since the death of the beloved previous host Alex Trebek, some “Jeopardy!” fans have struggled with the changes. And quite a few of those fans have been sharing their frustrations on Twitter.

Fortunately, there were also some fans who thought the outrage was funny. One viewer tweeted, “I'm going to exclusively refer to the first round of Jeopardy as 'Single Jeopardy!' from now on simply because it seems to bother a whole lot of weirdos. In fact, the second round is now 'Double Single Jeopardy!' and it's followed by 'Final Single Jeopardy!'.”

Regardless, it appears as though the “Single Jeopardy!” moniker may be here to stay. It found its way onto Thursday’s regular show and also the National College Championship.
