Jeremy Clarkson beats Cillian Murphy to be named UK's 'sexiest man'

Jeremy Clarkson has once again been crowned the UK's "sexiest man", securing the title for the second consecutive year after a survey of 2,000 individuals.

The 64-year-old presenter, renowned for his work on shows such as Top Gear and The Grand Tour, surpassed contenders including Irish actor Cillian Murphy.

Hot on the heels of his successful docuseries Clarkson's Farm, it's been revealed that Jeremy has clinched the "sexiest man" accolade in the UK yet again, according to an annual poll by IllicitEncounters, which bills itself as the "leading married-dating website". Clarkson also topped this poll last year.

The findings were released this week, with the poll conducted by the dating site reportedly being "voted by 2,000 of its female members". Participants are asked to evaluate a list of 50 "most famous, culturally relevant names" from the past year, rating them on a scale of sex appeal.

Each celebrity is scored from 1 to 10 based on their "sexiness," with 10 being the utmost score, reports the Irish Mirror.

Jeremy reportedly notched up nine out of ten points in the survey, marking an improvement from last year's reported score of eight out of ten.

He's reportedly followed by 27-year-old actor Tom Holland, famed for his role as Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, who takes second place on the list with eight points. Meanwhile, Prince William, aged 41, is believed to have climbed up the rankings from last year, securing third place in the latest poll.

Football manager Gareth Southgate, aged 53 and at the helm of the England national team, has been placed fourth in the recent survey. Cillian Murphy, the 47-year-old star of Oppenheimer and a native of Cork, Ireland, is said to have nabbed fifth place.

Idris Elba, known for his role in Luther and aged 51, alongside comedian Romesh Ranganathan, 46, reality TV personality Sam Thompson, 31, from Made in Chelsea, and athlete Russ Cook, 27, dubbed 'the Hardest Geezer', follow suit in the rankings. Dermot O'Leary, the 50-year-old This Morning host, rounds out the top ten according to the poll results.

Former rugby union player Mike Tindall, 45, and American actor Ryan Reynolds, 47, are mentioned as having ranked lower on the list this year. In addition, journalist Piers Morgan, 59, and Prince Harry, 39, were positioned even further down in the poll.

Jessica Leoni, speaking on behalf of Illicitencounters.com, said: "Clarkson and his farm is a bit like Noah's ark and just like the animals in that story, his victory in the Sexiest Man vote has come in twos. We all know about his brash persona, but the latest series of Diddly Squat has shown he can tug at heartstrings too - and clearly his famer look continues to set hearts racing."
