Jeremy Jordan is making his way back to Broadway.
The Last Five Years actor, 39, will be starring in the musical adaptation of The Great Gatsby on Broadway in the spring, according to a press release shared with PEOPLE.
Jordan is slated to play eccentric millionaire Jay Gatsby and will star alongside Eva Noblezada, who will play his love interest Daisy Buchanan in the production, which is based on the F. Scott Fitzgerald novel from 1925. Additional cast members have yet to be announced.
Previews for the show — which initially premiered at New Jersey's Paper Mill Playhouse — will start on Mar. 29 at the Broadway Theatre.
Jordan is no stranger to the New York City show lights, having previously starred in Newsies and Bonnie & Clyde on Broadway. In recent years, the actor has also been adding more and more screen credits to his lengthy resume including stints on Supergirl and Smash.
As for Noblezada, she made her Broadway debut in Miss Saigon, earning her a Tony nod for best actress in a leading role in a musical. She also starred in the Royal National Theatre's production of Hadestown.
The show is lead produced by Chunsoo Shin, who also produced the stage production of Once Upon a One More Time. In a statement, Shin shared that he is “passionate about producing this show because it provides a modern audience with the true essence of idealism that is expressed eloquently in the novel and now on stage.”
“The Great Gatsby is a masterpiece that grows and changes as its experienced by each new generation, in every culture, and people—and yet, still maintains its uniqueness, with its fascinating characters that burst with vitality," he added.
The show features music and lyrics by Jason Howland, who previously created music for Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, and Nathan Tysen, who worked on Paradise Square.
This Great Gatsby production is not the only one that has been planned to come out in recent years. Florence + the Machine frontwoman Florence Welch announced that she was working on another musical adaptation of Fitzgerald’s novel in 2021.
