Jerry O'Connell Thinks Wife Rebecca Romijn Might 'Be into' His Post Malone Halloween Costume (Exclusive)
'The Talk' co-host also hopes emulating the rapper this year might earn some "respect" from his 14-year-old twin daughters Dolly and Charlie
Jerry O’Connell got to live out his rapper-slash-facial hair dreams for Tuesday’s Halloween episode of The Talk — and he might have his sights set on a more permanent Post Malone-inspired look.
O’Connell, 49, transformed into the "Better Now" singer for the talk show’s themed episode and opened up to PEOPLE about how he imagined his wife, Rebecca Romijn, as well as their two daughters, twins Dolly and Charlie, 14, would react to the costume.
“My wife does not know yet,” he said of the all-out costume. “I'm going to surprise her.”
He thought Romijn, 50, “might be into” the look — which consists of glued-on facial hair, tattoos all over his body and a wig.

“I may have to change who I am! I may have to get some facial hair involved in my life and I may have to get some ink — this might be a new me,” O’Connell joked.
Transforming into Post Malone (real name Austin Richard Post) took O'Connell “three and a half hours,” but it was worth every second for the Billions actor, who says he’s “a huge fan of his music.”
“I love Posty. I have teenage daughters, so Posty is on heavy rotation in our car and our lives,” O’Connell shared.
Plus, the costume gave him an excuse to try out another one of his lifelong dreams. “I don't have any ink on my body and this is sort of a fun way to live sort of vicariously through Posty's ink. If I was going to do ink, I would do it like Posty," he said.

After taping the Halloween episode of the CBS daytime show, which he joined as a co-host in 2021, O’Connell’s plan was to keep his costume on and go right to after-school pick up.
He was hoping that picking his twin daughters up as “Post Malone” would translate to them treating him “with a little more respect.”
“My children are freshmen in high school. I'm going to wait outside their high school. Normally I sit in my car and wait for them to come to me, but I'm definitely parking and getting out and standing in front of the school,” he said, adding that he "might even blare some Posty" to really standout amongst the parents at pick up.

Despite his jokes about his family's potential reactions to his costume, O’Connell also took a moment to praise his wife of 16 years, Romijn, who he described as “the most important thing in my life.”
“Rebecca’s my ride-or-die always,” he said. “She’s a great wife – she’s a better mom. She’s an even better friend. I really love her.”
