‘Jersey Shore’ star Angelina Pivarnick facing multiple criminal charges after weekend incident

NEW YORK — Angelina Pivarnick, known for her role on MTV’s “Jersey Shore,” is facing multiple criminal charges after an alleged incident that occurred at her New Jersey home over the weekend.

Though few details are currently known about what went down, the 37-year-old is reportedly facing charges of simple assault, criminal mischief, resisting arrest and obstructing the administration of law, according to a municipal summons obtained by TMZ.

“This is nothing more than a very minor incident that was exacerbated by an adverse reaction to prescribed over-the-counter medication,” her attorney, James Leonard, told the outlet in a statement Wednesday.

Leonard maintains the incident was exaggerated, adding they “look forward to resolving this matter favorably and putting it behind us. Angelina is home resting and has no further comment at this time.”

Cops were reportedly called to Pivarnick’s home in Freehold, New Jersey, on Sunday night. She currently shares the residence with her fiance, Vinny Tortorella, though it’s not yet known if he was involved.

According to authorities, the details of the case are not being disclosed as it remains an active criminal investigation.

Police have reportedly been called twice in the past due to domestic disputes between the couple — once on July 30 of last year and again on Nov. 1 — though no charges were filed either time.

Now facing multiple charges, Pivarnick is scheduled to appear in court next month.
