Jessie Wallace says the environmental protestors who let down her car tyres 'should be locked up'.
The EastEnders star received a letter from campaigners notifying her that they had let the air out of her tyres because she drives a SUV.
The appropriately named The Tyre Extinguishers sent Wallace a letter that read: "We have deflated one of more of your tyres. You'll be angry but don't take it personally. It's not you. It's your car."
It continued: "We did this because driving around urban areas in your massive vehicle has huge consequences for others."
The letter then proceeds to detail the environmental damage SUV's have on the climate and calls the vehicles 'pure vanity'.
Wallace posted a picture of the letter on Instagram and reacted angrily by writing: "These a*******s should be locked up for the chaos they are causing."
The Kat Slater actor was recently arrested for assaulting a police officer while on a night out. The 50-year-old was given a conditional caution back in June as a consequence of her actions.
The BBC later released a statement saying: “Senior bosses have spoken to Jessie Wallace about the incident and issued a clear warning that this kind of behaviour is unacceptable and Jessie has expressed her deep regret.”
Wallace was ordered to take some time out from EastEnders in 2020 after an incident occurred during filming.
She was written out of the soap for two months before making her return later that year.
Wallace has played Kat Slater on and off since 2000 and has won numerous awards for her performance in the soap including Most Popular Actress at the British Soap Awards.
Wallace also appeared in EastEnders spin-off Kat & Alfie: Redwater alongside Shane Richie.
