Jet2, Ryanair, TUI, Easyjet passengers warned not to fly on July 22

Expedia have warned Jet2, Ryanair, TUI and Easyjet passengers against flying on a specific date this summer. Jet2, Ryanair, TUI and Easyjet are four of the largest UK airlines and travel operators, alongside the likes of British Airways and more.

But ahead of the spring and summer season, a British tourist price warning has been issued by a travel expert who says don't fly on July 22. A team of travel experts have shared the cheapest dates to jet off on a summer holiday.

According to research from Expedia, the cheapest days to book an international flight this summer are June 2, June 13 or August 28. And UK holidaymakers and tourists who wait until August 28 to go away also have a great chance of securing a holiday deal.

UK tourists might want to avoid booking a flight on July 22, 23 or 29 as these are the most expensive days for travel according to Expedia’s research. For domestic flights, July 28, August 19 and August 23 have the best prices so far, Expedia found.

June 30, July 8 and July 16 are the most expensive days to book a domestic flight this summer. Expedia also recommends booking an international flight on a Thursday to save 15 per cent off the price of a weekend flight and it found mornijng flights are more likely to avoid cancellations.

In some cases, flights leaving after 3pm are 50 per cent more likely to be cut. If you're flying domestically, then stick to weekdays - especially Wednesday - where prices are 20 per cent lower than at the weekend, Expedia also found.

The cheapest international flights were found on June 2, June 13, August 28 while the cheapest domestic flights were on July 28, August 19, August 23. The best day to fly international was Thursday, Expedia found.
