Jim Carrey says ex Renée Zellweger was the love of his life
Jim Carrey has revealed how he really felt about ex Renée Zellweger.
The two dated for a year after co-starring in 2000’s Me, Myself and Irene. They called it quits in November of that year, after appearing on several red carpets together to promote his How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Man on the Moon and her Nurse Betty. There were rumours they were engaged.
In the new, semi-autobiographical novel, Memoirs and Misinformation, that Carrey co-authored with Dana Vachon, the actor referred to Zellweger as the “great love of my life.”

When Carrey appeared on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show, Stern said he hadn’t previously known that.
“That’s true and she was special to me, very special,” the Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind star said. “I think she’s lovely.”
Still, Carrey said he’s not hoping for the two to get back together or anything.
“I don’t pine for anybody,” he said. “It’s not that kind of situation. It’s just my way of saying there was a very important thing there, you know, and to recognise that.”
Back in June 2000, the famously private Zellweger explained her own feelings about her then-beau.
“It was a very unexpected, wonderful thing,” she told Entertainment Weekly. “It was just a really natural thing to want to be around each other. And we didn’t see each other for a few months after we finished the picture — or really speak even — and I just noticed his absence significantly. It just felt like ‘Wow, I really miss him.’”
Carrey went on to famously date Jenny McCarthy, from 2005 to 2010, among others. Zellweger married country singer Kenny Chesney in 2005 and divorced him four months later. Her other famous exes include rocker Jack White and actor Bradley Cooper.
