Cameron Marley Buffett is remembering his late father Jimmy Buffett.

On Saturday, Cameron shared a tribute on Instagram in honor of the tropical rock icon, who died at age 76 on Sept. 1.

Cameron, who was born in 1994 and adopted by Buffett and his wife Jane Slagsvol, made a moving post about his “amazing relationship” with his dad and his intention to honor the singer's sunny, island escapism legacy.

“My dad lived the happiest, most fulfilling life anyone could,” Buffett shared in the caption of a photo featuring the father-son-duo and their dog relaxing by the beach at sunset.

He continued, “We had an amazing relationship and I miss him so much.”

Cameron also opened up about what he learned from his musician/mogul father. He concluded, “He had an amazing gift of being able to see the positive in everything, and I will try to do the same, for him.”

The “Margaritaville” singer died from Merkel cell carcinoma earlier this month and is survived by his wife and children Savannah, Sarah Delaney and Cameron.

Slagsvol, as well as several stars including Andy Cohen, Elton John and others have also paid tribute to the “It’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere” artist.

His loyal Parrothead fandom, too, celebrated his life with a parade through the Florida Keys, where he launched his career and lived for many years.

The singer-songwriter’s wife of 45 years shared a powerful statement on Saturday. On Buffett’s website and social media she wrote alongside a photo of the couple, “As Jimmy said a few months ago, ‘growing old is not for sissies. These last few years have been unimaginably challenging for Jimmy and me, and we’re definitely not sissies."

"One thing we both knew and experienced, through every difficult moment, was the feeling of being buoyed up by all the people in our lives," she added. "Everywhere we went, at arenas, at events, and even in the hospitals, we were surrounded by love. There is a whole world of people I want to thank for the incredible kindness you showed us."

"Since those early days and all through the decades, Jimmy’s fans became a big, boisterous family," she continued. "Thank you for creating the world’s most joyful community. The smile that Jimmy beamed at you from the stage was sparked by your spirit. I think that’s why he loved performing so much. He was so grateful to the community you built around him."

After thanking doctors, colleagues and friends, Slagsvol added, “Jimmy was love. Every cell in his body was filled with joy. He smiled all the time, even when he was deeply ill. And his sense of humor never wavered. Jimmy was always the optimist, always twinkling, always making us laugh. To my family. I cannot begin to express what you mean to me and Jimmy. I cherish you, I love you, and I am unfathomably grateful to you every day. You are my heart.”

She ended her tribute by making a reference to his song “Bubbles Up.” She concluded, “He sings, ‘Just know that you are loved, there is light up above, and the joy is always enough. Bubbles up.' Jimmy knew he was loved. Right until the end, he looked for the light. Thank you for giving joy to him and to me.”
