Edinburgh Castle was a sea of eager pop fans on Tuesday evening, as they gathered in anticipation of JLS' much-awaited gig in the city.

Despite the dreary weather conditions on July 9, a large crowd was seen patiently waiting to enter the venue, undeterred by the strong winds and sideways rain that were lashing Edinburgh.

Armed with ponchos, waterproof jackets and umbrellas, the throng of JLS enthusiasts remained in high spirits.

The popular group graced the stage at Edinburgh Castle as part of their Summer Hits Tour, after the gates swung open at 6pm. The queues kept growing and snaked back around Castlehill, with fans willing to endure the wait before securing their seats.

The heavy rain persisted throughout the night and during the entire concert, but this didn't dampen the fans' enthusiasm as they danced and rejoiced in the downpour. One fan humorously posted on TikTok: "Just a little bit on rain," while singing along to JLS' hit 'Beat Again', reports Edinburgh Live.

This isn't the first instance of dedicated music lovers braving the rain for a concert. Earlier in June, footage showed Taylor Swift fans queuing in long lines in the rain to grab merchandise ahead of the star's sold-out stint at Murrayfield Stadium.
