Jodie Chesney's family attend sentencing of her killers

Purple ribbons have been tied to lamposts outside the Old Bailey in memory of Jodie Chesney, the teenager who was stabbed to death in London. Jodie's uncle attends the sentencing of 19-year-old Svenson Ong-a-Kwie and a 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons. The two teenagers were found guilty of Jodie's murder earlier this month on November 7, after the trial heard she was unlikely to have been the intended target of what is thought to have been a drug dispute. Jodie Chesney was knifed to death while talking and listening to music with a group of friends in Amy's Park in Harold Hill, Romford, on 1 March.
