Joe Hart admits 'terrible' West Ham got out of jail
Joe Hart says West Ham cannot use fatigue as an excuse for their "terrible" performance as they drew 0-0 with Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup on Sunday.
The Hammers were playing a third game in six days, after beating West Brom on Tuesday and holding Tottenham to a 1-1 draw on Thursday, and struggled to assert themselves at New Meadow.
Shrewsbury enjoyed a majority share of possession and can feel rightly aggrieved not to claim a Premier League scalp and Hart was unimpressed by what he saw from his team upon returning to face his hometown club.

When asked if West Ham got out of jail with the result, Hart told BBC Sport: "100%. We were terrible today and Shrewsbury were really good.
"It's a tough place to come. We didn't play well. We had three games in a week and there were opportunities for the lads, including myself.
"I can't blame fatigue. There was some terrible football played today and we lost a lot of battles."
He added: "This is where I grew up, my home town. It gave me my opportunity in football. It's very special. It was a nice moment but in the game I wanted to win.
"We've had good results recently and I've not been playing so I have to use games like this to stake my claim. Hopefully, we will have bodies back for the replay. Hopefully, the home advantage will help."
