Joe Swash has been flooded with support and praise from his fans as he shared his latest much-requested cooking video. The actor and presenter has been putting his skills in the kitchen into content for his previously neglected social media page as he tries to match his wife Stacey Solomon on the online front.

Former EastEnders star Joe has been posing more family snaps on his Instagram page and has also created his own little cooking series which has seen him whipping up meals for his wife and their brood at their home, named Pickle Cottage due to Stacey's nickname for her children.

In his latest post, the 42-year-old was seen making his family's favourite, toad in the hole. Joe took viewers through each step of the process before showing the final results, despite a mid-cooking panic that it hadn't gone to plan.

It comes after Joe recently got personal with his fans as he spoke about the loss of his father. On Father's Day, Stacey recognised Joe being a doting dad and shared a string of videos of him with their children throughout the years, from newborn babies following their homebirths to walking toddlers during trips to the beach and enjoying dinners out together.

In an emotional message, Stacey then wrote in view of her 5.9 million followers about her husband's late dad, Ricky, and how he'd be proud of the father Joe had gone on to become.

Alongside her moving black and white video of memories, which she shared alongside the Jessica Baio track 'Someday', Stacey told her husband: "I never got to meet your dad. But he must have been the best dad in the world to have created you." She added: "Honestly Joe, you do your dad proud every single minute of every day. You’re the most incredible father. We are the luckiest. To the moon & back Joe Joe."

Joe was just 12 years old when his father Ricky died, aged 39, from the undiagnosed heart condition Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome. He previously admitted that the three or four years watching his mother try to cope after the loss of her husband were they 'worst of his life'.

And Stacey's mention of Joe's dad seemingly triggered comments to the former EastEnders star which he has now responded to in a social media post on Tuesday (June 18). Joe took to Instagram with a sweet snap of Ricky, as well as pictures of him with Joe and his siblings when little, alongside which he said: "Some people have asked about my dad over Father’s Day and why I didn’t post..."

He continued: "I lost my dad when I was 12 and It’s still something I haven’t quite got over still. BUT this is my dad Ricky! the BEST DAD EVER!!" And it didn't take long for messages of love and support to be shared with the star in the comments section.
