'Joe vs Carole' first look: See the 'Tiger King' rivalry played out in a new drama series

If you can't get enough of the Tiger King drama, you won't want to miss new TV series Joe vs Carole inspired by the bitter animosity between the big cat fanatics.

Peacock has released a first-look trailer and images from its highly-anticipated new drama series which explores the rivalry between big cat park owners Exotic and Baskin, the bizarre rows they were involved in, and the shocking turn things took.

In the trailer, Kate McKinnon and John Cameron Mitchell are seen as the title characters whose story gripped the world in 2020 with the launch of Netflix documentary Tiger King.

The series charted the pair's rivalry and disagreements over rescuing big cats, with Baskin accusing Exotic of not taking proper care of his animals while Exotic released a number of strange internet music videos making accusations and threats against Baskin.

Joe vs Carole will also feature Exotic's unusual marriage to two other men at the same time and will address disappearance of her first husband Don Lewis, one of the key parts of the Tiger King documentary.

In the Peacock series, Baskin's current husband Howard Baskin is played by Twin Peaks star Kyle McLachlan, with Dean Winters (30 Rock) playing Exotic's controversial business partner Jeff Lowe.

Fans of Tiger King will know that Exotic and Baskin's spat escalated to the point of him being imprisoned for hiring a hitman to kill her off and the drama shows Baskin contacting police about the threats as well as arming herself against attack.

Netflix launched a follow-up second series of Tiger King last year looking further into Exotic's appeals for release, which even included him contacting Donald Trump in the final days of his presidency, and fresh information on what may have happened to Lewis.

Joe vs Carole is an eight-part series from Peacock that will be available to watch on Sky and NOW from Friday, 4 March.
